Welcome to the Royal Highland festival (RHF), it is a unique festival held 4000 metres above sea level in beautiful Laya Valley. It’s a celebration of age-old culture and tradition of the highlanders, showcasing the beauty and wonders of the Highlands through their distinctive culture, language and attire.

High landers of Bhutan from 4 northern districts gather here for a 3 day festival showcasing their traditions and the unique way of life.

These are one of the smallest tribes of the Himalayas , which are the least known and visited.

  1st       Reception at Airport: You’ll be warmly welcomed by your guide and driver.
For Morning flights: Have your Lunch at Paro Town and Visit to Taa Dzong (The national Museum of Bhutan) and Paro Rinpung Dzong for early arrivals.
Travel to Thimphu (47 KM avg 2 Hours Ride)
Visit to Tamcho Lhakhang: On the way to Thimphu, you can visit Tamchog lhakang if time permits or visit while returning.
Night Outing: You can visit the local pubs and clubs to explore night life in Bhutan if you prefer.

Sanjay gang (Buddha Point), Folk Heritage Museum, TashiChedzong, Takin Park.
Travel to Dhochula Pass (21 KM avg 35 Mins), the108 Druk wangyel stupas!

Travel to Gasa .

Dhochula Pass -108 Druk Wangyel stupas.,

  • Visit to Dhochula , where 108 Druk wangyel stupas have been built by Queen mother Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuk in honor of the fourth Druk Gyalpo Jigme Singye Wangchuk.
  • Explore the Royal Botanical park, Lamperi . Which has over 46 species of rhododendron and consist of 115 species of ferns. The park is also a popular bird watching area and 46 avifuana species identified. Some of the rare species reported are Monal Phesants and Blood Pheasants (Ithaginis cruentus). There are 21 animal species identified in the park which includes Musk deer, Leopard, Red Panda, and the leopard cat.
